2011 season a huge success!

I changed the angle of the front gate and arch this year to use the street light to my advantage TAKE THAT street light!

One of my favorite pixs this year. The coffin is new this year and was donated by a family friend.

Can't believe the great deal on lightweight skeletons this year at Walgreens. I bough 4 of them and I hope they have them again next year

The Carnival garage haunt this year was so much fun to create and will be very hard to top next year. There are so many cool things you can do with clowns and a carnival theme

Here i'm testing out the shock cage area....YEAP IT WORKS!

This was my costume this year. It's my favorite and I'm thinking of it being my costume for every year. It really goes with all themes and I can improve upon the costume as years go on and add accessories to better the look.

I also had a really awesome year for haunt actors! This was the best turn out ever for having volunteers. 21 total for the both nights open and lots of commitments for next year. I also found some new actors for next year. Thanks to all the actors you guys really made the difference this year to push my haunt over the top as a true neighborhood haunted attraction.

First new stone of 2011

Well...... Fightguy(Jay) did a BlogTV tonight. While I listened I worked on my first new tombstone of the new season. Just kind of went with it. It was not planned I just started building with no idea what it would end up like. I think it really turned out well. All the foam was scraps from other projects and the statue I got at Goodwill for $2.

Well I really need to get started on making some carnival freak show posters. Here are a few I found doing a quick search on the interwebs. I will pick a few such as these and use my projector to shoot them onto a larger area and trace them out.

What will it be?

Mausoleum update #8 (Vines and gate)

This is the final large update on my mausoleum build......or it? I am really thinking about doing the inside. My only battle is you really don't see the inside at the haunt. I will most likely do it as a next year update. The scary thing is once I have something in my head to make it is pretty hard for me to wait.

Mausoleum Update #3 (adding detail to windows)

This update was a last minute idea. I am really glad I decided to add the extra detail to the window area. I often loose my patients on small detailed stuff like this. Doing the video for my Youtube vlog helped me stay focused. If I didn't have everyone out there watching I would have said crapola on this detailed trim stuff. Also I would like to thank the Home Haunters Association and the Hot Wire Foam Factory for giving me the tools to play with!

Mausoleum Update #2 (painting the glass)

This has been a super fun update so far. I am really enjoying the process of adding more detailing to already made props. More to follow.

Well this is the year of updates. I will be updating a lot of my current props this year. No room for any big stuff I am tapped out on storage space. Here are some photos of my current progress so far.
